Stories

'Ecstacy' was my first attempt to bring a magick world and merge it with an everyday one. 'Interview' was the start of a story based on a friends proposed roleplaying system, I was trying to do something new with vampires. 'Otherworld' was a pilot for a TV series in which the modern world interacts with the Celtic Otherworld, and examines how that place may have changed. 'Nine Minutes' is probably my best story to date, which also has no fantastical element to it at all as it covers the subject of speedating and being single. 'The 23rd Nail' is my darkest work examining the squalid life of Glasgow streetkids in a flooded near future, with added Cthulhu Mythos. I gave a reading of this at the 2004 Write Off event in Glasgow. 'Search Engine' was first submitted to the Nova Scotia anthology a few hours before deadline and not long after I got off the flight from LA during which it was conceived. It was, however, performed at the 2005 Write Off in Edinburgh. 'Clatty Pat's Needle' revisits some of the ideas first explored in 'The 23rd Nail' using characters from 'Enoch's Vault'. It doesn't quite work. But it did help lay some more ground for Adocentyn and another story, not here yet, 'Tarantata'.
