Daisy takes an holistic approach in treating patients, with the intention of understanding the root cause of the disorder. In order to do this a consultation will include discussion of what the patient is experiencing on a physical and emotional level.
The first consultation takes about one hour, and will include a full case history which will enable a clearer picture of what is going on.
Clinical examination may be carried out where appropriate, including blood pressure checks, tongue and pulse diagnosis.
The consultation will also involve, exploring factors such as lifestyle i.e. exercise, ways of relaxation and diet.
A diet diary is often asked for. Here clearer identification of eating patterns and foods eaten can be seen, which may be disrupting healing processes. Simple dietary advice and changes can often make positively dramatic effects to health.
Repeat visits depend on the complaint, however in most cases, the first repeat takes place after 3-4 weeks. Via listening, questioning and possible further examination if appropriate, Daisy will evaluate how the patient has responded to the herbs and what (if any) changes need to be made.
Following visits will depend on the nature of the disorder. Can range from monthly, 3 monthly, to just when one needs to see their herbalist, such as maintenance support and asking for help about many areas of health care from traveling to pregnancy advice.
